Building a 100-Year Firm: Lessons from Omaha

omaha conference i95

At The Kelly Group, our vision is to become a 100-year firm, one that serves families across generations with patience, integrity, and long-term perspective. This spring, our Investment Committee traveled to Omaha for the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting to learn from leaders who have successfully built that kind of enduring culture.

One of the strongest reminders came from Charlie Munger’s metaphor of “shiny fish lures”, AKA the market’s constant stream of trends and quick fixes that can distract us from the fundamentals. The Berkshire team’s discipline reinforced the very principles we aim to carry forward: staying disciplined, focusing on long-term strategy, and always putting clients’ best interest first.

As we approach 30 years as a firm, we see these lessons as essential to our own path toward a 100-year future. Read more about our insights from Omaha: https://www.kellyria.com/insights-blog
